Why we provide scholarships:
Our agency is well aware of the financial difficulties that many of our family’s face, that is why
we make a great effort to provide graduating high school students who are part of the Edinburg Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher program with the necessary resources to facilitate the financial aspect of their college/university education.
For the past couple of years, the EHA has hosted senior luncheon events where the entering university students get acknowledged for their accomplishments and receive their Edinburg Step Up scholarships along with the opportunity to be part of the traditional College Ring challenge.
The four-year College Ring Challenge consists of the seniors agreeing to completing their bachelor’s degree within the course of four years and in return, the EHA gifts them their specific university/college ring.
